Frankfurt / main, 9. September 2009 – abarth, the sports brand in the fiat group, travels to the IAA with particularly powerful models (17. Until 27. September) to frankfurt. The focus is on the world premiere of the abarth 695 tributo ferrari, a strictly limited special model of the abarth 500 developed jointly with ferrari. The vehicle based on the abarth 500 is powered by a 1.4-liter T-jet four-cylinder powered with an output of 180 hp.
The turbo engine is combined with a semi-automatic gearbox that is operated by means of shift paddles on the steering wheel. The increased engine power and the allegedly shortened shift times due to the MTA transmission (manual automated transmission) print the value for the acceleration from zero to 100 km / h in less than seven seconds. The top speed is 225 km / h.
Chassis and brakes modified
The chassis and brake system of the abarth 695 tributo ferrari have been adapted to the increased performance. Four-piston brake calipers and internally ventilated discs from brembo are used on the front axle. Koni steamers equipped with the FSD (frequency selectice damping) concept take care of a good straben position at accelerated speed. The 17 inch coarse alloy wheels in ferrari design carry high-performance tires in the dimension 205/40 ZR17. Another highlight is the “record monza” exhaust system from the abarth accessories range, which, thanks to the dual-mode design, should impressively bring out the engine sound from 3000 tours.
